Welcome to Lumi Journal ("we," "our," or "us"). We highly value your trust and are committed to complete transparency regarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines exactly what data is handled when you use our mobile application.

        Our Absolute Core Promise: Lumi Journal is fundamentally an offline multi-media diary app. Your thoughts, emotions, text entries, voice recordings, and videos are saved 100% locally on your own device. We do NOT own servers to store your journal entries, and we CANNOT access your private logs.
    

1. Data Deletion & "Tree Hole" Feature

We provide you with full control over the lifecycle of your thoughts through our "Tree Hole" feature. When you place a diary entry into the Tree Hole, you can customize your data retention settings as follows:

7 Days Auto-Deletion: The diary entry will be automatically and permanently deleted from your local device after 7 days.
30 Days Auto-Deletion: The diary entry will be automatically and permanently deleted from your local device after 30 days.
No Deletion: You can choose to opt-out of automatic deletion, and the diary entry will be kept on your device permanently until you manually remove it.

Because Lumi Journal operates entirely offline, all automatic deletions are executed strictly on your local device. Once an entry is deleted through the Tree Hole schedule, it is permanently erased and cannot be recovered by us or any third party.

2. Information Collection by Third-Party Services

To keep the app stable, optimize performance, and support development through advertisements, we integrate trusted third-party SDKs. Here is the transparent breakdown of what they collect:

A. Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics)

What is collected: Firebase automatically collects certain technical and device data. This includes anonymous device identifiers (such as Firebase Installation IDs or Identifier for Vendor - IDFV), device model, operating system version, app lifecycle events (e.g., app opens, screen views), and technical crash logs.
Why it is collected: This data is strictly used to count active users, analyze app performance, and diagnose bugs or system crashes to improve app stability.
What remains completely private: These technical identifiers are completely separated from your journals. Firebase has absolutely zero access to your diary content, text, voice notes, or videos.

B. Advertisements

Our app displays advertisements. Our ad partners may utilize anonymous mobile advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA, subject to your explicit App Tracking Transparency permission) to serve relevant ad placements and measure ad performance.

3. Complete Offline Storage

Aside from the anonymous technical diagnostics mentioned above, all your personal creations and emotional data stay on your smartphone. Because this data is never transmitted over the internet to our servers, you have total custody of your memories. Please note that if you delete the app, your locally stored journal entries (including those in the Tree Hole) will be permanently lost unless you have backed up your device via iCloud/system backups.

4. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

Lumi Journal does NOT offer any paid subscriptions or in-app purchases. All core multi-media journaling and emotional comfort features are available without financial transactions.

5. Children's Privacy

Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal identities or personal journal data on our servers, we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect app upgrades. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. Updates are effective immediately upon posting on this page.
